Governance
GMTOAC is governed by its members, Gunditjmara traditional owners and native title holders in line with the Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006.
GMTOAC members elect the Board of Directors at our Annual General Meeting from across the 14 Gunditjmara Apical Ancestors with criteria for male and female presentation as well as on/off Country status.

Membership & Confirmation of Aboriginality
To become a member of GMTOAC, update your membership details or apply for a Confirmation of Aboriginality, complete the forms and submit below:
Stage Action

Submission:
Applicant submits form with Genogram and required signatures (Mover/Seconder). -
Technical Audit:
Memberships And Confirmations Committee (MACC) verifies the applicant is over 18 (for Membership) and the Genogram links to a recognised Apical Ancestor. -
Recommendation:
MACC marks the application as "Recommended for Approval" or "Requires More Info." -
Board Endorsement:
The Board of Directors reviews MACC’s briefing and provides final endorsement. -
Finalisation:
For CoAs: Common Seal is applied and signed by two Directors (or one Director and Secretary).
For Membership: Name is added to the Register.
